Our James Rolph Park Jr. Clubhouse only serves children from Leonard Flynn Elementary for our After-School Program and will provide pick-up from this school.

CHILDREN'S COUNCIL VOUCHERS
Mariposa Kids is an approved provider for SF Children's Council vouchers and will reduce our monthly fee to meet the maximum allowed by vouchers for after school programming. Families utilizing vouchers will have to follow attendance rules set by Children's Council. Contact Children's Council to see if you qualify.

A note on 1, 2 & 3 Day Options: As an after-school enrichment program with a deep focus on child friendship & family relationship development, we do not offer 1, 2 or 3 day options. We want to share a bit about why we structure enrollment the way we do, because it really gets at the heart of what we're building. Mariposa Kids isn't an after-school care option — it's an enrichment program designed to support children's social-emotional development, build community, and help kids form real, lasting friendships. Those outcomes depend on consistency. When children attend together, day after day, week after week, they develop the trust and familiarity that allow play to deepen, conflicts to be worked through, and friendships to take root. That's the "power of play" we're after, and it's only possible when kids show up consistently alongside the same group of peers.

For that reason, we enroll children for either 4 or 5 days a week, and we don't offer 1-day or other partial schedules. A child attending one day a week would be stepping into a community that's been building all week without them, which isn't fair to them or to the cohort they'd be joining.Read more about our desired impact and outcomes for children and families.

Mariposa Kids' After-School Program is a free-play centered program that brings together an average of 40 kids in grades TK to 5 in the hours after school. During this program, children experience exploration-based programming where they are able to partake in activities that include art projects, science experiments, reading, sports, outdoor play, homework help, and so much more.

Our staff will pick up from school and bring children to a local park in the Mission/Bernal Dis trict. We provide a first snack and then after approximately 90 minutes of outdoor play, we walk to our Clubhouse at the James Rolph Jr. Park for additional activities. A second snack is served at 5pm and final pick-up for all children is 6pm.

Our only current school for pick up is Leonard Flynn Elementary School in San Francisco.

Our After-School Program occurs on every SFUSD school day. Holiday Camps are available on select SFUSD school closure days for an additional fee.

Costs are $675/month for 5-days/week, $575/month for 4-days/week with 10% sibling discounts available.

A non-refundable $250 registration fee is required. Families interested in exploring financial assistance need to email [email protected] before registering.

Our registration is continually changing over summer and in the months of August and September. You may find when you try to register that our program for your child(ren)'s age group is full. If you'd like to join the wait list, please complete our registration information via this platform - it will prompt you to join the wait list.

There is no fee to join our wait list and no obligation to join if a spot is offered. If a spot opens, you will be contacted via email and will have two business days to respond before your spot on the list is released and we move to the next family. Each age group has a separate wait list (K -1st and 2nd-5th). 

We reserve specific spots for families receiving financial assistance. If our system shows there is waitlist, there may be spots available for families who qualify for our Financial Assistance Program. Please email [email protected] to ask about availability.
